Temporary Science Reference & Instruction Librarian - Wesleyan University. Reporting to the Associate University Librarian for Academic Services and based in the Science Library, this position is responsible for providing reference and instruction for students and faculty in Natural Sciences and Mathematics (Division 3).
RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide initial point of contact for Division 3 faculty and students; Provide reference service to users of the Science Library both in person, via email, and other forms of communication; Provide group and individual instruction.
This is a part-time, non-benefit eligible position that works 20hrs per week.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduate degree in library/information science, or an advanced degree in a relevant subject or equivalent combination of education and experience; Experience providing instruction in the use of scientific and general library databases; Strong service orientation; Commitment to working in a diverse community; Demonstrated ability to work in a team-based and collegial environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Subject degree in one of the natural or physical sciences; Experience supporting research needs of undergraduate and graduate students.
