Children’s Librarian - Burlington Public Library

Children’s Librarian - Job Search Extended. The Burlington Public Library is seeking a creative, dynamic, energetic and innovative individual to become our new Children’s Librarian. This is a part-time 29.5 hr per week (Monday, Wednesday & Thursday 9:30- 3, Tuesday 2:30-8 and alternating Fridays/Saturdays 9:30 – 5, includes paid sick/vacation/holiday days, as well as a 401k. Salary is $18.30 per hour. Applicant must have a Master's Degree in Library Science from an accredited college or is in the processing of completing your MLS degree. The work requires the employee to have skills, and abilities in every phase of the public library field, particularly as it relates to Children Services. Responsibilities include by not limited to programming for children PreK – 4th grade, collection development and collection maintenance of children’s collection, including cataloging of library materials, reader’s advisory, school and community outreach.
