Part Time Library Assistant for Young Adult Services

Fairfield Public Library average 10 hrs/wk, M-TH, 2:30-5:00. Our popular after school teen program gives Middle School students from a neighboring school the opportunity to engage in a creative fun afternoon program which is overseen by our Teen Librarian.  The person we are looking for would have the ability to assist and create program opportunities for our downUNDER teen program.  A week could be offering a Raspberry Pi project for several afternoons while the next week could be putting together a board game marathon. The materials are at your fingertips the design and construction of the days are filled with your ideas. The person should have experience working with middle school students, is creative, has energy, and while taking direction from the Teen Librarian can work independently with the teens.  This can be a great position for busy students earning their MLIS degrees or someone who enjoys working with teens and has some available time during the week. Qualifications: Preferred college graduate, working with teens. Please send cover letter and resume to Nancy Coriaty, Deputy Town Librarian, ncoriaty@fplct.org by August 29.
