Part-Time Reference Librarian / Librarian I - Town of Portland, Connecticut (EOE). Energetic, professional person responsible for reference/information services. Works under the general supervision of the Department Head. Assists library patrons, works with staff and volunteers, part of team delivering Reader’s Advisory services and marketing the library through newsletters, social media and other methods. Requirements: Customer service skills and excellent reference skills are essential; one year previous library experience; demonstrated computer skills; organizational abilities; must have valid driver’s license, physical dexterity and visual acuity. MLS required. $22.26 hourly; twenty (20) hours per week; works a regular night and a Saturday in rotation; no benefits; union position.
