Part-time Reference Assistant - The James Blackstone Memorial Library in Branford, Connecticut is seeking an enthusiastic, technology savvy person to join a busy, service-oriented reference department. The person we are looking for should be well versed in a wide variety of library reference and research techniques, will have a knowledge of pc software applications including Microsoft Office and Google Docs, proficiency with internet searching and email and an understanding and familiarity with social media and digital technology. Equally important is the ability to work courteously and effectively with a diverse library population; candidates should have excellent customer service skills. College degree required. A Masters degree from an ALA accredited library school is preferred. Individuals enrolled in an MLS program will be considered. Position is part-time (24 hours); $16.00 per hour.
