Marketing & Special Events Director - Kent Memorial Library, Kent
Marketing & Special Events Director - Kent Memorial Library in Kent, CT seeks an individual to 1) develop programs for adults that meet the Library's mission and service responses; 2) market overall library services; and 3) oversee art exhibits. The successful candidate will have the ability to work with high profile public people to elicit their support & participation in library events. Computer literacy required; desktop publishing & familiarity with modern communication methods such as Twitter & blogs a plus. Bachelor's degree required with marketing, PR, advertising, journalism or communications preferred. 2 years experience with budget preparation & strategic report composition required; some public library and/or non-profit experience preferred; demonstrated experience in producing news releases, newsletters, flyers, annual reports & programs. Ability to work under short time constraints and meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities & with minimal supervision essential. Sixteen (16) regularly scheduled hrs/wk including alternate Saturdays with additional hours as needed for programs. Salary commensurate with experience.
