Librarian - Ferguson Library, Stamford

Librarian - The Ferguson Library has an immediate opening for a full-time librarian in the Information Services Department (Reference) at its Main Library facility. Responsibilities include reference, reader's service, assistance in locating and using library materials and equipment (including computerized databases), and programming. A Master's degree in Library or Information Sciences is required, as well as a commitment to a library career in an urban public library environment. The ability to converse with patrons for whom English is a second language would be desirable. Starting salary will be set in a range from $45,239 to 55,526, depending on experience and qualifications. This position is covered by a negotiated labor contract, which provides for annual across-the-board and step increases in salary, as well as a generous package of fringe benefits.
