Children’s Services Department Head - Ridgefield Library. Busy public library seeks effective manager and leader, with strong customer service orientation and high level of professional skill, to serve as head of active children’s department. This position is responsible for active management of the day-to-day operations of an exceptionally busy and responsive department; fosters a high level of professionalism, skill and customer service in the department; and is a key member of the library management team. Qualifications: MLS or equivalent professional degree required; minimum 3 years of professional level work experience in a public or school library setting, with concentration in children’s services; minimum 3 years in a supervisory role in a library or similar setting.
