POSITION TYPE: 1.0 FTE (Full-Time or Dual-Shared Option)
SALARY RANGE: $47,272 – $99,407 (Commensurate with experience and subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement)
CLOSING DATE: October 16, 2026
POSITION SUMMARY: The District is seeking qualified candidates for a 1.0 FTE Library Media Specialist position. The district reserves the right to fill this position with one full-time candidate (1.0 FTE) or with two qualified candidates in a shared position (0.6 FTE and 0.4 FTE), based on the operational needs of the district and candidate qualifications. Position allocation and benefit eligibility for split-FTE positions will be governed by the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
CERTIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Master’s degree in Library Science, Educational Technology, or related field preferred.
- Certification: Valid Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) certification as a Library Media Specialist (Endorsement 062 or 048) required.
- Background Check: Successful completion of background screening pursuant to C.G.S. § 10-221d.
