Hours: 8-12 hours per week, up to 19.5 hours, with daytime, evening, and weekend shifts possible.
Salary: $25.08 - $31.32/hour
Under general supervision of the Library Director, you will join a creative makerspace team to provide services and support to patrons of all ages while empowering individuals to engage with knowledge and enriching the lives of the residents of Glastonbury and beyond. Some of the duties of this position include using and maintaining makerspace equipment, presenting library programming and instruction, monitoring makerspace supplies, conducting library outreach, and maintaining a safe, comfortable makerspace. Ideal candidates will have a love of technology, some library experience, a passion for public service, and a positive, can-do attitude.
The minimum qualifications for this position are an LTA degree, or any combination of education and experience in a related field (Engineering, Computer Science, Education, Library). Strong customer service and computer hardware/software skills, ability to work as part of a team, verbal and written communication skills are also desired. Comfort with teaching and/or overseeing groups, implementing safety procedures, and developing program plans are essential.
