Hiring Range: $61,812.92 - 63,631.10 DOE
The Ropkins & Hartford History Center Annex Manager has overall responsibility and accountability for all functions of the library location. This includes the management and oversight of public service operations including circulation, adult services, youth and teen services, community engagement, outreach, and programming, as well as coordination with other HPL departments. This position also serves as the public-facing point of contact for the Hartford History Center Annex at Ropkins, responding to research inquiries, promoting community use of the collection, and coordinating with Hartford History Center staff at the Downtown Main Library. Located adjacent to SAND School, this position is responsible for maintaining and growing HPL's partnership with the school. This includes overseeing the children's librarian's delivery of class visits and school programming, ensuring consistent follow-through, and serving as the senior library contact for school leadership. This position is accountable for training, scheduling and evaluating staff and assists in short-term and
long-term planning for the location. You will work to develop community partnerships and programming efforts in collaboration with the team. This position ensures the highest level of service is provided by staff to all customers. The weekly schedule includes evening hours and weekend shifts in rotation.
