Due to a retirement, The Farmington Libraries is seeking an enthusiastic and creative part-time Youth Services Assistant to join the dynamic Youth Services Team at the Farmington Library. In this role, the Youth Services Assistant will provide desk coverage and readers’ advisory for children birth through grade 6. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, a solid knowledge of children’s literature and childhood development, and exceptional customer service skills. High School Diploma or GED along with a minimum of two years of experience in a customer service setting and one year of experience working with children is required. Hours: 12 hours/week. Position works Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
Hourly Rate: Starting at $20.35/hour; this is a non-benefited position.
