Primary Functions: The Emerging Technologies Librarian leads the integration of new and evolving technologies into library services, supports digital literacy initiatives, and ensures that technology-driven services align with community needs and the library’s strategic goals. Work is performed under the general supervision of senior administrative staff. This vacancy supports the Ives Squared department of the Ives Main Library at 133 Elm Street.
Education, Qualifications & Experience: Master’s Degree in Library Science from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited institution (or its foreign equivalent); and minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible professional library experience.
Special Requirements: Must have and maintain a valid Connecticut driver’s license. May be required to visit various library facilities and other City locations. Must have availability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
