The Roxbury Public Library is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and customer-oriented individual to develop and deliver engaging programming for children (birth through middle school), as well as their parents and caregivers. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of early childhood development, an interest in arts and music, and a genuine enthusiasm for working with youth and families of all ages.
What You’ll Do:
- Plan and host storytimes, after-school programs, and Summer Reading
- Create fun, developmentally appropriate early literacy experiences
- Promote programs through displays, flyers, and social media
- Connect with local schools and community partners
- Provide friendly, helpful customer service to patrons of all ages
- Assist with circulation desk duties and daily library operations
Schedule: 12–16 hours/week (includes some evenings & Saturdays)
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children or teens
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A passion for public service and community engagement
- Comfort with technology and social media
