Terryville Public Library seeks an organized, service-oriented, part-time Administrative Assistant to join our team for 25 hours per week. This position maintains personnel, payroll, financial, purchasing, and administrative records. Responsibilities include tracking budget expenditures, processing invoices and accounts payable, maintaining financial files, preparing bank deposits and audit records, coordinating vendor services and repairs, and communicating with Town departments. The position also provides circulation desk coverage and assists patrons in person, online, and by telephone.
Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of accounting experience. Two years of college is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Applicants must have strong communication, organizational, financial recordkeeping, and customer service skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.
