Job Type: Part-Time, 25 hours/week
Salary: $40.21 - $51.88 Hourly
General Statement of Duties: Oversees assigned areas of professional library operations and programming. Reports to a Librarian III, Branch Librarian, or Library Manager.
Education and Experience: Master’s degree in Library Information Science from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited college or university, plus experience in professional library work. Experience with Innovative Interfaces Sierra and BiblioCommons preferred.
Qualifications:
- Proven knowledge of professional library principles, methods, materials and administrative practices.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of current and emerging technology applications, integrated library system (ILS) collection management tools, e-readers, tablets, smart phones, electronic information systems, social media applications and other downloadable library content.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and library-related software products.
- Demonstrated knowledge of adult, teen, and children’s literature in all formats.
- Proven ability to communicate technology concepts to users of varying skill levels.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with library staff, patrons and community groups.
- Must be able to bend and reach and lift up to 25 pounds; ability to push library carts holding up to 100 pounds in materials.
