Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Patron Services Librarian, the Patron Services Assistant supports the maintenance and delivery of library collections and provides excellent customer service to patrons of all ages. Qualified candidates must be friendly, enthusiastic, and motivated to work with a team to provide reliable service in an environment welcoming to all.
Education/Experience Requirements: High school diploma, or equivalent. LTA degree or library experience preferred. Prior experience working in customer service and/or libraries preferred.
Schedule, Compensation, & Benefits: Part-time, 7 hours per week on average. Tentative schedule, subject to change: Mondays 8:30 AM-1 PM and alternating Saturdays 9 AM-2 PM. Additional hours may be assigned as needed to cover staff vacation and illness. Starting pay $18.50 per hour. This position is not eligible for benefits beyond paid sick time at a rate of 1 shift per month.
