Come be part of the Burlington Team! The Burlington Public Library is seeking a full-time Children’s Librarian to run our vibrant and beloved Children’s Department. This position is responsible for planning and implementing engaging programs and outreach for children from birth through grade 4, as well as overseeing collection development and cataloging of Children’s materials. Additional responsibilities include creating displays and passive program activities in the Children’s department, providing Reader’s Advisory, assisting at the Circulation desk, representing the library at community events and partnering with staff members for large-scale library programs.

Qualifications: MLS from an accredited institution. 1-3 years of relevant experience. Excellent customer service skills. Knowledge of Children’s literature and current trends. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, work independently and collaborate effectively. Comfort with technology, including familiarity with social media and graphic design platforms.
