The Fairfield Public Library has an opening for a Part Time Library Assistant in the Teen Department. This position assists with Teen Services in the library's "down UNDER" after school program at the Fairfield Woods Branch Library, and other teen programming. More information available HERE.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must enjoy working with grades 6-12. Ability to perform in a courteous and professional manner at all times with excellent customer service skills. Display an interest in and knowledge of teen culture and interests. Ability to use good judgement and discretion interacting with staff and the public.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
SCHEDULE: Hours fluctuate based on operational and seasonal needs; must have availability to work 2:00-5:00 PM or 2:30-5:00 PM weekdays during the school year.
PAY RANGE: $18.50 per hour
