Darien Library seeks a meticulous and collaborative Copy Cataloger to support the Materials Management Department on a temporary, part-time basis. The ideal candidate is committed to maintaining accuracy in bibliographic records, enjoys hands-on cataloging work, and can manage detailed tasks that support seamless access to the Library’s collections. Reporting to the Head of Materials Management, the Copy Cataloger will process and enhance bibliographic records for a wide variety of library materials. This position plays a key role in ensuring that resources are accurately described and discoverable, directly supporting the Library’s mission to provide exceptional service and accessibility to the community.
Schedule: This is a part-time, temporary position for an average of 10-12 hours per week, preferably on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, not to exceed 29 hours per week. This assignment will last approximately six months, with the possibility of extension pending budgetary approval. This schedule is for planning purposes only. Actual hours may vary and are subject to modification due to staffing needs, programming, or other operational demands of the Library.
Salary: $20-$29.50 an hour, commensurate with experience and CLA minimum requirements.
