The Richmond Memorial Library is accepting applications for a very part time Library Page who is available to work Tuesday and Thursday afternoons (exact hours are flexible and we can work with a school schedule). The primary responsibilities for this position include re-shelving library materials; straightening stacks; assisting with simple library clean-up by straightening chairs, clearing work stations, and putting away children's toys; pulling items from the shelf to fulfill holds or assist with weeding projects; and shelf-reading in addition to other duties as assigned. The person in this position may also have to help library patrons with simple directional questions. The Library Page must be friendly, customer-service oriented, and possess the ability to work independently, following oral and written directions. Basic computer skills as well as the ability to organize materials numerically and alphabetically are required. Must be able to lift, bend, reach, squat, and maneuver heavy carts full of library materials. Hourly rate is $16.35 with no benefits.
