Attention community-minded individuals! Are you looking for part-time employment where you can be of service, help provide a welcoming customer environment, and work with a supportive and friendly team? The Milford Public Library is looking for someone with a flexible schedule and a friendly demeanor to assist at our busy public service desks. Applicants must be willing to work alternating Saturdays, one evening a week until 8:30 pm and some daytime hours, as well as for possible last-minute, fill-in coverage.
This is a part time position (approximately 7-16 hours/week). Duties will primarily include the checking in/out of materials, assisting patrons with finding materials, and basic computer assistance. The ideal candidate will have engaging customer service experience, strong computer skills, attention to detail, with emphasis on accuracy of repeated tasks, work well in a team environment, and a willingness to work at our 3 public facing service desks: Circulation, Reference, and Children's. Library experience a plus. The pay is $17.50/hour and does not include benefits.
