Bridgeport Public Library seeks a full-time Branch Manager to supervise library services and programming for a diverse community. The successful candidate is highly motivated, energetic, creative, team and task oriented, and possesses excellent organizational skills. Good oral and written communication skills are essential for this position.
Duties include staff supervision and scheduling, collection assessment and development, and experience planning and implementing programs for all ages. The schedule will include evenings and weekend rotations. A driver’s license and the ability to bend and lift at least 25 lbs. is required.
Education and qualifications include a Master’s degree in Library and Information Sciences from an accredited program and a minimum of three years of professional supervisory experience in a public library setting preferred.
