Under general supervision of the Librarian III, incumbent provides services to all ages and supports the mission of empowering individuals of all ages to engage with knowledge and enriching the lives of the residents of Glastonbury and beyond. Some of the duties of this position include responding to inquiries from the public, working cooperatively to offer special library services for the community, and supervising pages and clerical staff as assigned. The ideal candidate is passionate about assisting full-time staff in planning and presenting age-appropriate and engaging programs for children age birth through 12 and providing reference and reader’s advisory services to children and their caregivers. Additional duties may involve providing instruction to other staff and the public in using online databases and applications.
Hours: 4-12 hours per week (varies), up to 19.5 hours.
Starting Salary: $28.93 per hour.
