The Lewisboro Library is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Children’s Librarian to join the team in our beautiful children’s room. The applicant should be a creative, energetic, and tech-savvy person with a passion for working with children.
This librarian is responsible for:
- planning and conducting children’s programs including STEAM programs.
- collection development for print and e-content
- keeping current with children’s and young adult literature
- reader’s advisory service for children and their families
- community outreach with local organizations
- covering the adult and young adult reference desk when needed
The 35-hour week includes some weekends and evenings. Salary range: $59,000 to $61,000. Benefits include health insurance, 403B retirement plan, vacation and paid sick leave.
A master’s degree in library science is required. An undergraduate degree in education or a related field is preferred. A minimum of one year’s experience working in library youth services is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Canva, and social media are essential.
