The Farmington Libraries is seeking a forward-thinking and service-driven leader to join us as Director of our Children’s Department. The Farmington Libraries offer diverse collections and programs, staff development opportunities, stable funding through grants, endowments, and a supportive Friends group, with leadership dedicated to maintaining a safe and accessible library for all.
The ideal candidate is collaborative, creative, flexible, and detail oriented. In this role, you will be responsible for a roughly $70,000 budget; nurturing the strong connections the library has with town, school, and local organizations; developing programming for a supportive community; and supervising a strong and dedicated team of 2 full-time and 5 part-time employees. This is a full-time, 35 hours per week position, including one evening/week and one Saturday/month. Generous benefits and a salary range of $70,000 – $80,000.
