The library/media specialist shall be concerned with the facilitation and improvement of instruction through the use of equipment, printed materials, and non-print resources available for the support of the learning/teaching process. In addition to traditional responsibilities, the library/media specialist shall assume leadership in the application of technology as a learning tool in the media centers and in the classrooms. The library/media specialist shall support the use of computer technology in collaboration with the technology resource teachers.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor's degree. Connecticut State Department of Education Certification (062) School Library Media Specialist required.
