POSITION OVERVIEW & REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The Groton Public Library seeks a Substitute Librarian with a desire to provide excellent service to the Groton community. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Library Services, the ideal candidate should be flexible, approachable, and comfortable with patrons of all ages. Familiarity with current popular literature, experience with a broad range of technologies, and knowledge of reference services is essential. May perform other job-related duties as assigned. Bilingual and experience with library software systems, in particular, SIRSI, preferred.
Shifts will vary; including days, nights, and weekend hours. Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited institution is required.

SALARY/COMPENSATION: $22.50 per hour. Up to 18 hours per week, including days, evenings, and weekends. This position is not eligible for benefits.
