Library Technician PT – University of Bridgeport Library

Position Description Summary/Purpose: The Library Technician is a part-time role primarily focused on providing superior customer service to patrons within the Library. The Library Technician will work on a mostly afternoon, evening and weekend schedule over 12 months. The part-time Library Technician will work as part of a team of staff to provide Information Desk services within a cutting edge, technology leading, Learning Commons Model of service. Duties include provision of services for students and faculty including the circulation and printing functions and providing backup services for the media delivery function.

Qualifications: The qualifications required would generally be acquired with a High School Diploma or at least one year of college experience using databases or any equivalent combination of education, work experience and training.
