The Wolcott Public Library is seeking creative, energetic and enthusiastic applicants for the position of Digital Navigator. The successful candidate will be a reliable, self motivated team player, who is able to work independently and enjoys working with people.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Improve residents' digital literacy through technological assistance and education. Plan and Implement hands-on basic technology workshops for patrons. Maintain and update website and social media sites. Maintain 3D Printer and other Makerspace technology. Instruct patrons and staff in their use. Maintain and promote digital collections and databases. Digitize local history, yearbooks etc. Outreach to senior center and senior housing units in town. Other duties per direction of the Library Director.
This is a full time (40 hr.) position with medical benefits, sick time, vacation time and 11 paid holidays. This position includes some evening and weekend hours as part of the regular work schedule.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with knowledge of technological concepts as they relate to duties listed above. 3D printer experience a plus.
