The Woodbridge Town Library is seeking an innovative, enthusiastic and service-oriented librarian to head our Adult Services Department and serve as a key member of the library’s management team. This position is responsible for coordinating all services provided by the Adult Services Department, including reference, reader’s advisory, technology assistance, adult programming, outreach, marketing, interlibrary loans and collection development. This position also acts as the coordinator for several large, town-wide events. The successful candidate will focus on leading the Adult Services team to deliver exceptional service and to develop new, exciting programs to better serve the community.
Qualifications: A Master’s degree in library science from an ALA-accredited program and experience in reference/adult services at a public library are required. Supervisory experience is strongly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of adult collections and services, proficiency in current and emerging technologies, and excellent organizational and communication skills are essential.This is a full-time position at 35 hours a week, with full benefits. Some evenings and weekends are required. Salary range is $61,000 to $67,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
