The Town of Waterford is searching for a part time custodian at the Waterford Public Library. Coverage needed: Tuesday & Thursday 6:00pm to 10:00pm, Saturday 7:00am-10:00am, Sunday 11:00am-1:00pm (Sunday hours only until March 24, 2024), fill in hours as needed.
PURPOSE OF POSITION: To maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the library building and grounds with responsibility for security of building on evenings and/or weekends. In the absence of the Building & Grounds Manager, assure proper operation of mechanical and electrical systems in the library.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill & Ability): Knowledge of materials, methods and equipment used in building, custodial and grounds maintenance work. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Must be capable of working without direct supervision. Ability to perform physical tasks with some degree of strength and stamina, some knowledge of custodial duties, and possession of a valid motor vehicle license.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING: At least one year of related experience preferred.
Salary: $20.97/hour, no benefits.
