Applications are being accepted for the position of a Makerspace Technician. We are looking for a candidate who is a creative, innovative, energetic and a customer-service-minded person.
This position is 17-21 hours a week with 1 weekly evening and 1 Saturday a month. Salary range is $17-$19/hour.
Responsibilities: The Makerspace Technician is responsible for assisting with the planning, scheduling, promotion, and implementation of maker-related programming. Work involves responsibility for the library’s makerspace area and equipment, including computers and 3D printers. Provides maker and technology-related customer service and training to the public. Assists in maintaining reports and statistics relating to makerspace use and program attendance.
Required Qualifications: High school diploma from a school accredited by a regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or GED certificate issued by the appropriate state agency. One or more years additional experience in a maker role preferred or any combination of education, training, and experience which provides a demonstrated potential for performing the above listed duties of the position is required.
