The UConn Library seeks an innovative and creative Metadata Management Librarian to join our Acquisitions & Discovery team. Reporting to the Head of Acquisitions & Discovery, the Metadata Management Librarian creates and manages metadata necessary for the discovery, access, and stewardship of UConn Library collections. Success in this position requires a holistic understanding of metadata’s role in facilitating discovery of library resources and applying relevant international and national standards, rules, and best practices for creation, analysis, enrichment, and maintenance of metadata.

This appointment is a full-time position, with hybrid schedule options, based in Storrs, Connecticut. Salary and rank are dependent upon education, qualifications, and experience.
