Due to retirement, the Trumbull Library System is seeking an experienced librarian to fill the position of Associate Director of Access Services. The ideal candidate will have experience in technical services and circulation, a track record of gradually responsible leadership roles, a knack for technology and a penchant for problem solving.
This position works closely with the Assistant Director and Circulation Coordinator, ensuring that the catalog, digital and physical resources and other services meet the needs for patron information access. This position is responsible for educating staff in new technology. In addition, this position leads technical services staff in cataloging, ILL, processing, and record entry. They liaise with the Town’s IT department, the State Library, and various digital vendors.
The Associate Director embraces technology, pursuing new methods and evaluating their benefit to our residents, and creates a vision of how the public interacts with the library, whether in front of our service desks or on their smart phone.
