The New Haven Free Public Library is seeking a passionate and innovative Librarian IV to lead and manage our library system’s critical components. As the incumbent, you will have a unique opportunity to oversee neighborhood branch libraries, the Young Minds and Family Learning department, and coordinate mobile library services like the Bookmobile and Book Bike to engage community members across the City of New Haven.
This is a senior administrator position with responsibility to lead and manage several major components of the library system. Work is performed with considerable latitude for the exercise of administrative judgment under the general guidance of the City Librarian. The incumbent collaborates with the City Librarian and the other Public Services Administrators to provide consistent and effective oversight, leadership, and administration of the Library.
This position is included in a collective bargaining agreement with Local 3144, American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees; the salary is within Local 3144, Range 11. Bargaining agreements available to review HERE.
