POSITION SUMMARY - The Meriden Public Library is seeking a friendly, customer-service driven Part Time Clerk I to join its team in the Visitor Services Department. Our ideal candidate will be a team-player, organized, and enthusiastic about library services and serving the public in a diverse community. Duties include library clerical work involving shelving and retrieving library materials, checking in and out materials, assisting library visitors, and helping librarians with programming. Evening and weekend hours are required. May also be assigned to work in other departments within the library.
QUALIFICATIONS – Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or the equivalent plus some clerical experience involving public contact. Must be able to provide friendly, high quality customer service.
HOURS – 20 hours/week
