Digital Literacy Coach – Wolcott Public Library

The Wolcott Public Library is seeking creative, energetic and enthusiastic applicants for the newly created position of Digital Literacy Coach. The successful candidate will be a reliable, self-motivated team player, who is able to work independently and enjoys working with people.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Plan and implement hands on workshops for patrons to build basic computer skills. Maintain and update website and social media sites. Maintain 3D Printer and other Makerspace technology and instruct patrons and staff in their use. Maintain and promote digital collections and databases. Advise staff on professional development opportunities, such as webinars, zoom presentations and other training sessions to enhance job knowledge and skills related to technology. Digitalization of local history, etc. Collaboration with the town’s IT Manager with regard to technology. Outreach to senior center and senior housing units.

This is a full time (40 hr.) position with medical benefits, sick time, vacation time and 10 paid holidays. This position includes some evenings and weekend hours as part of the regular work schedule.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree preferred with knowledge of technological concepts as it relates to duties listed above. 3D printer experience a plus.
