This is technical work within the library system. Depending on the nature of assignment, work can entail the acquisition and processing of library material, collection maintenance and database management; and/or entry-level computer support for library patrons. Work is performed under the supervision of a higher-level staff member and is reviewed through observation, conferences, and reports.
This is a full-time, tested position. Eligibility to interview is contingent upon a passing score on the Civil Service exam. Applications will be reviewed by the Department of Human Resources after the closing date. Persons meeting minimum requirements will be invited to participate in a Civil Service exam process at a later date.
Position includes paid time off & medical benefits after successful completion of a 120-workday probationary period, and is part of the Local 884 bargaining unit.
