Library Director - Town of Mansfield

The Opportunity: The Town of Mansfield, Connecticut, is seeking an innovative, dynamic, collaborative, and experienced leader to serve as its next Library Director. This position is accountable for planning directing and coordinating operation of the public library; studies and makes plans to develop the services of the library to meet community needs, directs the development and maintenance of library’s collection, prepares and presents library budgets, evaluates the performance of staff librarians. Applicants must possess a Master’s Degree in Library Services or Library and Information Science from an ALA accredited school. Minimum five years of professional library experience, including management and direct supervisor of others.

The Total Compensation: The annual salary range is $88,481.61 - $123,980.22 and the hiring rate of pay will depend upon the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience. The Town of Mansfield provides an extremely competitive benefits package. Mansfield participates in the Connecticut Municipal Retirement System (CMERS), a defined benefit pension plan, a variety of other benefits such as medical, vision, dental, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, tuition assistance, paid vacation and holidays.
