Salary: $115,328.00 - $125,816.00 Annually

Position Definition: Plans, organizes and supervises the Branch Library; including the development and promotion of services; supervises business and maintenance operations of Branch Library; and performs general professional library work.
Supervised By: Receives general direction from Library Director.
Position requires working some evenings and weekends.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to apply principles of Library Science to solve practical problems in situations where only limited standardization exists. Knowledge of equity and diversity initiatives. Ability to understand the uniqueness of the neighborhood it serves and to deliver the appropriate services. Ability to follow and enforce policies and procedures. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Ability to prioritize assigned duties and report accomplished tasks to supervisor. Ability to prepare and deliver brief, concise and attractive reports of library services and facilities both orally and in writing. A working knowledge of computer applications for library services and to conduct virtual meetings. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office software. Ability to work effectively with library staff and library patrons.
Minimum Qualifications: A Master’s degree in Library Science and four years of progressively responsible public library experience, including two years supervising unionized staff. Ability to speak Spanish and/or Haitian Creole language is preferred.
