Part Time Accountant - West Haven Library, CT
West Haven Library seeks a Part Time
Accountant to work 15 hours per week. Duties include but are not limited
to closing of monthly financial records, assisting with reviewing and
preparing monthly financial reports for the Director and library board,
preparing asset, liability, and capital account entries by analyzing
account information; maintaining financial transactions, preparing
payments and invoices, and reconciling daily cash. Ensure organization
complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements and
making recommendations to administration. Must have a thorough
knowledge of Peachtree or Quickbooks, excellent attention to detail and
problem solving skills. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or relevant
field is preferred for this position with a minimum of 2-5 years of
experience, or relevant experience of 10-15 years. Salary is dependent
upon experience. This is a union position. Please email resume, cover
