Head Children’s and Teen Services Librarian - Weston Public Library, CT

The Town of Weston, Connecticut is seeking to fill the position of Head Children’s and Teen Services Librarian. A town of 10,200, Weston is a sophisticated, safe, bucolic town with an exceptional school system. The Library completed a $1.6 million interior renovation in 2016 that provided enhanced meeting space, a new café area, new furniture, and a dedicated teen space. In 2022, the Children’s Room underwent an $86,000 renovation.

The position is responsible for administering, implementing, and supervising the collection and services for the Weston Library’s children and teen patrons. The position requires a Master of Library Science degree from an accredited university and at least three years of library experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education, work experience and training.

The position pays $66,765 annually for a 37.5 hour, Monday through Friday workweek. The Town offers a generous employee benefits package consisting of a pension retirement via the Connecticut Municipal Employee Retirement System, health and dental insurance, life insurance, vacation and sick leave.
