The West
Hartford Public Library is seeking candidates for a full-time Library
Assistant (Circulation) of 35 hours per week. We invite you to join a
committed and dynamic team of professionals in the Children’s Department
whose mission is to provide an engaging and fun-filled library
experience for our families.
Under general supervision, the
ideal candidate will perform a variety of paraprofessional library
duties in one or more library functional areas. Job functions include
assisting library patrons, circulating library materials, maintaining
patron accounts, assisting library staff in day-to-day operations of a
busy Children’s department, charging and discharging materials, and
other responsibilities. Evening and weekend hours are required.
Salary Range: $45,604 - $56,706
