Law Library Circulation/Reserve Assistant. This is a part time evening
and weekend 10-month term position (August-May, following the QU
academic

Overview:
Quinnipiac University's School of Law invites
applications for a Law Library Circulation/Reserve Assistant
(Temporary) position. Under the supervision of the Access Services
Manager, you will assist in the operation of the Circulation/Reserve
Department during evening and weekend hours. This
position works mainly on a computer in an office environment
within the library. Occasionally it may involve moving objects such as
equipment or books weighing up to 25 pounds for short distances. This is
a temporary, part-time, non-benefits eligible
position not to exceed 17.5 hours per week. The rate is
$18.50-20.00, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities: Oversee
the Circulation/Reserve department during evening and weekend hours. In
conjunction with the Circulation/Reserve Manager, supervise
evening and weekend student staff. Assist with general
circulation functions. Process for loan physical hard copy materials,
and equipment in the Reserve Collection, and perform general collection
maintenance duties. Shelving and shifting of library
materials required. Other circulation department duties as
assigned.
Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree required. Experience may substitute for some of the above education requirements.
Qualifications: 1-2
years of customer service experience. Library circulation experience
and direct experience with integrated library automated systems
preferred. Demonstrated customer service, excellent
communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work
collaboratively with other library and university departments. Previous
supervisory experience desired. Evenings and weekends required.
Knowledge of Sierra (Innovative Interfaces, Inc) or
other ILS Circulation modules is preferred. Demonstrated ability
to work with diverse populations and a commitment to diversity and
