Children's Librarian – Milford Public Library, CT

SUMMARY OF POSITION: This is professional library work related to the developing, organizing, maintenance, and use of the Library’s collection. Under the direction of the Library Director or designee may function as the supervisor of the Library's Children Department. Supervises assigned staff, to include but not limited to, Library Assistants, volunteers, etc. within his/her Department through training, scheduling, assigning work, etc. Performs a variety of professional library duties in carrying out major assignments
within the operations of the library system.
     MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from a college or university accredited by the American Library Association with a Master’s degree in Library Science or closely related field and at least one (1) year of professional library work experience; additional professional experience desired.
