Part-time Clerk - Thomaston Public Library, CT

We are looking for someone to assist at our combined circulation/information desks. Duties include: registering patrons; circulating materials; assisting patrons with their inquiries and their use of computers, fax, and copier; shelving of materials. Will work at either the children’s or adult desk, depending upon what is going on at the library that day. Other duties as assigned!
     Requirements: Strong communication skills, office-type computer skills, a commitment to an equitable and inclusive approach to public service. High School diploma/GED required; some college preferred. The successful applicant will need to pass a background check run by the town of Thomaston.
     Hours and Compensation: $14/hour, 13 hours a week, MTWR 9:45-1; possibility of hours on Fridays/Saturdays if desired, to not total more than 19 hours a week.
