The
DiMenna-Nyselius Library of Fairfield University seeks an enthusiastic,
self-motivated, and public service-oriented candidate for the position
of Part-Time Instruction Librarian. This position involves teaching
information literacy classes on weekdays during the academic semester
and attending staff meetings as necessary, an estimate of 7-10 classes
per semester. Most of our classes are taught between the hours of 8am
and 5pm. Dates will vary.
Requirements: MLS from an
ALA-accredited program. Demonstrated ability to communicate both orally
and in writing to a variety of audiences. Demonstrated experience using
varied techniques to engage learners.
Preferred: Prior academic library instruction experience is highly desirable.
