WORK YEAR: 37.5 hours/week, 7:15 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (Monday-Thursday),
7:15 a.m. -2:15 p.m. (Friday); 30 minute lunch; 185 Days
SALARY: Hourly position $14.50 to $15.75/hour - dependent upon education
and experience. No additional benefits are offered.
JOB
DESCRIPTION: Support staff and students in their use of the library
services, resources, space, and equipment (i.e. print and digital
collections, Chromebooks, laptops, copier/printer, laminator, poster
maker, Cricut machine, etc.). Direction and supervision of students.
Help facilitate the integration of the library program to align with the
school and library’s mission and goals in support of curriculum and
instruction (i.e. set up displays and activities, curate book lists,
provide reader’s advisory, etc.). Assist with library administration
offering clerical and technical assistance (including website
maintenance, record keeping, scheduling, ordering, processing, resource
maintenance, inventory, billing, data collection, report production,
resource distribution and collection). Uphold district, school and
library policies and procedures maintaining professionalism and
confidentiality. Assume other duties and responsibilities of the role as
required by the Principal, Assistant Principal and Librarian.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: Previous experience in an academic
environment particularly with high school students and working in a
library. Library Technical Assistant (LTA) certification a plus. Strong
technical skills - familiarity with G-Suite applications, software
programs, database management, troubleshooting of minor computer and
equipment problems, and in operating a copier/printer, poster maker, and
laminator. Organization, attention to detail, independence, good
written and oral communication, and a friendly, courteous demeanor.
Physical ability and dexterity to perform the job (including
occasionally able to lift 20 pounds).
