BASIC FUNCTION: Manages all Access Services Department functions.
Hires, trains and supervises Access Services department staff. Hires,
trains, schedules and supervises student employees. Oversees all access
services-related tools and technologies. Controls the fine and billing
functions of the library. Coordinates building access and maintenance.
UNUSUAL WORK CONDITIONS Physical requirements: mobility; must be able
to lift materials off shelf. Requires some evening and weekend hours.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL NEEDED: EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree preferred or
equivalent related experience. EXPERIENCE: At least two years of library
experience preferred. Demonstrated computer literacy and supervisory
skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Experience working in an academic setting and/or with a college-aged
population preferred.
